Join King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in their quest for glory in Legendary Excalibur, a 5x3, 10-payline slot from Red Tiger Gaming. This game takes you to the heart of Camelot, with beautifully rendered symbols featuring King Arthur himself, the Holy Grail, a knight's helmet, and a red rose. But is Legendary Excalibur a worthy quest, or should you seek adventure elsewhere?
A Visual Feast in Camelot
The design team at Red Tiger deserves credit for crafting a stunning visual experience. The reels are set before a magnificent archway bathed in sunlight that seems to shift and change as you play. Symbols are crisp and regal, and winning lines are highlighted with dramatic golden flourishes. The soundtrack features a delightful lute melody with brass accents that ramps up during wins, further immersing you in the Arthurian atmosphere.
Gameplay Basics
Legendary Excalibur unfolds on a standard 5x3 grid with 10 always-on paylines. The game boasts a medium volatility level and a long-term average RTP (Return to Player) of 94.7%, which means wins occur moderately often with payouts being average compared to other slots. Bets range from ₱5 to ₱25,000 per spin, catering to players with various bankrolls.
Winning Symbols and Payouts
Matching symbols across the 10 paylines results in wins. The most valuable symbol is King Arthur, awarding 50x your stake for a five-of-a-kind combination. The Holy Grail, helmet, and rose follow in value. Low-paying symbols are represented by playing cards, offering payouts between 4x and 2x your stake for a five-of-a-kind match.
Legendary Excalibur Features: Where's the Magic?
This is where Legendary Excalibur stumbles. The game relies heavily on the Excalibur wild symbol, a giant 1x3 symbol that triggers respins when it lands in full view. During these respins, additional wilds are added to the reels. If a reel fills with three wilds, it transforms into another Excalibur, triggering another respin. While the respins with extra wilds can lead to exciting wins, the lack of free spins or bonus features feels like a missed opportunity.
The Quest for More: A Final Verdict
Legendary Excalibur boasts a beautiful design and a decent selection of bet sizes, but its gameplay feels limited. The absence of a beloved feature like autoplay and the lack of free spins or bonus rounds might leave some gamers feeling shortchanged.
If you crave a visually captivating Arthurian adventure with a simple, wild-focused gameplay loop, then Legendary Excalibur might be worth a spin. However, players seeking a feature-rich slot with free spins and bonus rounds will likely find the quest for Excalibur a bit shallow.
