Fans are hyped for the opener: Las Vegas Aces vs. Phoenix Mercury on October 4, 2025, 8:00 AM (PH time) at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.
What makes this year special is the first-ever best-of-seven Finals format, adding more drama and excitement for both players and fans.

The Finals Schedule Without the Numbers
The WNBA Finals begin in early October and could stretch until the middle of the month if the series goes all the way. The Aces and Mercury open the series in Las Vegas on October 4 (PH time), with Game 2 soon after. Games 3 and 4 shift to Phoenix, while Games 5, 6, and 7 (if needed) will alternate between both arenas.
For fans in the Philippines, expect early-morning tip-offs since the games are played at night in the U.S.
Spotlight on Game 1: Aces vs Mercury at Michelob ULTRA Arena
The opening game sets the tone for the entire Finals. With home-court advantage, the Las Vegas Aces aim to make the most of the energy at the Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Phoenix Mercury, however, are entering the series as underdogs with nothing to lose — which makes them dangerous.
Experts say the Aces will depend on their star players and strong bench, while the Mercury will count on toughness and clutch shots to compete. Game 1 is where strategies collide, and adjustments begin. For Filipino fans who follow the WNBA closely, this is not just basketball — it’s history in the making.
Odds and Insights for Filipino Fans
Heading into Game 1, the Aces are favored slightly by sportsbooks. Analysts project a close contest with Las Vegas carrying a small spread advantage, while the Mercury are expected to keep the game competitive. Total points for the opener are projected in the 160 range, making this a high-scoring battle.
For those in the Philippines exploring Sports Betting PH options, this is a thrilling opportunity. Aces fans can count on their strong home court edge, while Mercury supporters might find value in the underdog odds. Whether it’s a shootout or a defensive battle, WinZir offers a top sportsbook with the best odds on sports and great betting promos for the Finals.
What to Watch in the Series
Several storylines will define how this Finals unfolds:
Superstar Matchups: Aces stars A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young will run pick-and-roll plays, while Phoenix looks to stop them with strong defensive switches.
Bench Depth: The Mercury’s reserves could play a big role, especially if the games turn into long, physical battles.
Coaching Adjustments: Each halftime will be a chess match, with both sides tweaking their game plans on the fly.
Crowd Impact: The loud Michelob ULTRA Arena crowd will boost Las Vegas, but Phoenix has shown they can handle tough arenas.
For Filipino fans watching from home, these key elements make every possession feel like it matters.
